We collect two categories of data: information you give us directly, and information generated by your use of the platform.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your contact lists to build any shared database or data product. Your contacts are yours.
When you upload contacts and run a campaign, MIST processes those contacts on your behalf. You remain the data controller for your contact list. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent or legitimate interest basis to contact the individuals on your list under applicable law (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, etc.).
All outbound emails sent through MIST include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism as required by CAN-SPAM. When a contact unsubscribes, we suppress that address from future sends across your account.
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Campaign data (contacts, messages, replies) is retained for 24 months after last activity, then purged. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

We encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use Row Level Security in our database so tenant data is isolated. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We do not store plain-text credentials.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@imaginarysales.com.
MIST uses a single first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
MIST is a B2B platform intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at imaginarysales.com/privacy.html.
